i like both shinigamis [reapers] of bleach + deathnote but prefer more deathnote
version because they just seem more like shinigamis and look scary indeed and
more interesting... like ryuk & remu, tehy seem more of the supernatural
type with their powers that they have, bleach shinigamis arent scary looking,
anyway for myself, deathnote is more exciting then bleach and that's why i chose
it...still watch both series
This year, Valentines Day had a late surprise for all the Naruto fans. The hit
anime moved out of the filler that lasted so long many forgot a time before it
existed. Beginning in May of 2005, animators began a filler arc with an
unlimited duration.
86 episodes later, the siege ended. For those not mathematically inclined,
eighty-six episodes (out of the two-hundred and twenty total) equals one year
and nine months of content meant only to encourage the status quo. This two year
fluff has obscured the biggest plot line to hit our prepubescent ninjas since
passing ninja school. Set two and a half years into the future, Naruto fans get
a darker view of their sunshiny protagonists. The future brings hopes that
characters remember how to fight, and forget how to whine about pesky
emotions.
I hate to admit it, but I enjoyed the episode. As a bonus to the faithful
watchers of Naruto, not only did they get back on track, but began the hour long
special with an eight minute segment lifted from the far future plot of the
anime. The star of the segment being Sasuke, now being 60% less emo!
Giving itself a brand new title, Naruto: Shippuuden, the show resets the clock
down to episode number one, and places the world two years in the future.
Puberty aside, the entire idea feels like an attempt to reach the show's roots.
This is the best possible thing for a show stretching nine seasons. While I
won't pour into the details, every moment that wasn't packed with exposition was
an allusion to earlier episodes (very early episodes). This nostalgia made the
content feel a bit more fun and exciting, and less like a chore.
While more appealing to the veteran viewer, the show seems less accessible than
ever before. As much as I hate to admit they serve a purpose, a recap episode
wouldn't hurt.
My perspective excludes me, but I'd be curious to see what would happen if
someone started the series at Shippuuden. It might be shallow and self
referential, or maybe it'd be the fresh start needed to revitalize an aged
series.
I guess I have to start watching again. Why must you toy with me, Naruto? I'm
not supposed to like you anymore! We've already had our falling out, and I've
already explained to all of my friends how much I dislike you. If I started
again, it'd have to be in secret. Being caught wouldn't result in a stern talk;
people will either laugh profusely or explain "Z0mg N4ru70 r0x0r$! n1nj4

This has got to be the craziest video game murder story I've read. OK, fine...
maybe not as crazy as Chinese kids stabbing each other to death over MMORPG
squabbles, but post-worthy nonetheless.
A university student under arrest for trying to withdraw money from the account
of a man found dead last month, along with his mother, has admitted to their
murder and robbery, police said.
"I spent the money at video game arcades. I murdered them so I could steal
some money," the suspect, 21-year-old Hiroshi Shimura, was quoted as
telling investigators.
Local police are grilling Shimura, a third-year student at Nihon University,
over his motive for murdering Shinichiro Nomoto, 61, and his 86-year-old mother,
Tomie, at their home in Suginami-ku, Tokyo.
Well, at least he didn't shoot them in the face. Jack Thompson's got nothing on
this guy. OK, bad joke; I know. To be honest, I just don't know what to say. The
idiot killed someone for video game money. If I wanted video game money I'd get
off my ass and go get a part time job. But then again, that's just me. Different
strokes for different folks?
*Rukia is totally shocked in seeing Kaien in front of her.
Rukia: ---Kaien-dono---!
*Scene change to Noitora
Tesla: ?Noitora-sama
Noitora: ?oh it's you, Tesla.
Tesla: Yes, and you haven?t finished him off.
Noitora: Of course not. Even if I kill off a thousand small fries who will
recognize that I?m the strongest?
*Noitora decides to go crush the person with the highest reiatsu who?s close to
him (Rukia) so leaves to go after Rukia.
Chad: Wait?
Noitora: Whaaaaa, you can still move?
*Chad and Noitora attack each other but are stopped by Tesla.
Tesla: Don?t think that your fist could actually reach Noitora-sama in your
current state.
*With this, Noitora is pissed off asking why Tesla got involved
Tesla: I thought that in the off chance that something were to happen to
you---
Noitora: Not gonna happen. I?m the strongest of the Espada.
*Scene change to Kaien and Rukia
*The scene starts with them getting along. Then Kaien tells Rukia that he has a
plan so he tells her to come to with him.
Just as Rukia gets close to him, Kaien attacks.
Kaien: You?ve improved?
*Chapter ends with blood running down Rukia's cheek
On April 12th, fans of the legendary Gainax series Shin Seiki Evangelion (Neon
Genesis Evangelion) will have the chance to "drink" the anime as well
as watch it. Gainax, Movic and retail store Animate have announced that they
will be selling special cases of Neon Genesis Evangelion soft drinks. The drinks
can be purchased at Animate stores or from the EVA store on the Gainax
website.
The drinks will be sold as individual cans and in cases of 6 cans for 945 yen
(about 8.50 US Dollars). The cases include two cans of black coffee with
"Don't Drink This" printed on the can, three cans of "LCL"
Orange Juice, and a coin bank as an added bonus to people who buy the
case.
The printing on the case box includes images of Gendo Ikari saying "If
you're going to drink, hurry up. Otherwise, go home!" and Shinji Ikari
saying "I don't even know what's in it! There's no way I'm drinking
this!" The quotes and pictures are a parody of a famous scene from the
first episode of the anime featuring main character Shinji and his father
Gendo.
Took 'em long enough...My friends and I have joked about the 'LCL juice' since
we first saw evangelion...the dialogue on the case is effin' funny! Oh Gainax,
and now I'm just waiting for EVA plug tampons and the cycle of merchandising
madness will be complete.
when i first read this i was SO CLOSE to bursting into laughter, This entire
thread is just pure gold...
According to Sponichi
Annex, executive director Hideaki Anno has announced that the first new
Evangelion movie will open in Japanese theaters on September 1st. Furthermore,
for the new series of four movies, two of the katakana characters in the
Japanese spelling of "Evangelion" will be changed, resulting in
"Ivangelion" becoming "Wevangeliwon." Reportedly, additional
details and a 15 second theatrical trailer will be officially released on the
17th.
The article also states that the Evangelion franchise has generated 6,000 types
of merchandise since its 1995 debut, earning roughly 150 billion yen.
i'm thinking of getting the game...i really enjoyed death note manga, it is my
favourite, i will just wait for some reviews on the game, it'd be a waste if i
bought it and the game turned out to be not so great
to me chocolate is not evil, its sweet,
great even, but scary at times to myself...if yu ever did see 'Willy Wonka and
the Chocolate Factory' the scene on that freaky ferry boat is ridiculously scary
- especially when i was a kid. i still can't eat chocolate without crying
hysterically...and i enjoy the chocolate every time
lotsa movies scared the $h!T out me wen i was still a kid, 1's like...
Eraserhead, Willy Wonka & the chocolte factory, pet semetary, Nightmare on
Elm street (1984), salmes lot, seven, war of the worlds (1953), 'Janghwa,
Hongryeon (A Tale of Two Sisters)' (2003), texas chainsaw massacre (1974),
hellraiser, the exorcist (1973), the shining, evil dead II, dawn of the dead,
alien, The Ring, Ju-on...plus many more im sure i forgot to mention...
but the one that's the #1 scariest movie, imo, is.....
'The Thing' (1982)

If the scene where the guy's head sprouting insect legs to escape doesn't give
you nightmares consult a therapist immediately.
Ok, let me clarify what a goth is, because, most likely, its not what you think.
A goth is a person who likes to dress and act differently to the norm people in
society, normally in black but some like much brighter colours. They tend to be
thinkers and more often than not, quite creative. They have a satyrical sense of
humour, and are able to laugh at both themselves and other people. This type of
goth originated in the late 80's with the "death" of punk; goths back
then liked the style and the "protection" it offered and so emulated
it in their own style. They listen to and appreciate all sorts of good music.
They can be gay/depressed/weird/mentally disturbed, but more often than not they
are just normal people.
Goths may also refer to an East Germanic tribe who left Scandinavia

It was only a matter of time before fan-favorite series The Melancholy of Haruhi
Suzumiya got picked up for an American release. Sure enough, not long ago a site
popped up preparing for just that, complete with MySpace page that seems
requisite for any new properties these days. On top of that, us fans were given
the opportunity to vote on various voice actor choices for the show's
characters, but it wasn't until today that all our voices have finally been
heard.
Bandai has come clean with their choices for Haruhi's English voice cast,
announced right over here.For
the most part I think it looks promising. Some of the actors chosen seem to have
trouble with creating different voices for their characters, though, so I'm not
getting too excited just yet. There's just something about hearing Faye
Valentine's voice coming from Haruhi that sets me on edge, not to mention what
might end up as "Itsuki the Stampede." One actress does worry me, and
that's Stephanie Sheh doing Mikuru. While it fits the character, to be sure,
I've never been a fan in the least of that overly high-pitched, breathy tone
that seems so popular. Does anyone out there know anyone that actually sounds
like that? In any case, the first DVD drops stateside on May 29th, so I've got
my fingers crossed until then.

Cosplay is not for everyone.
If you and your friends all have faces like a foot, then you'd probably do better staying behind the booth:
An image that messes with the mind even more when looked at in all its lime green leotard-clad lustre.
"I now felt gnawing at my vitals that dark terror which will never leave me till I, too, am at rest; "accidentally" or otherwise."
I'm so glad I can repress memories like these. But I can only do it once.
